For Mental Health Professionals

A large part of my career so far has been in providing education to others to help expand the number of LGBTQ+ affirming mental health providers. I will happily meet with other practices and agencies to learn about their training needs and provide education that is tailored to those needs.

My most requested trainings include:

• Affirmative Care with Transgender and Gender Diverse clients

• Affirmative Surgery Assessment and Letters for TGD individuals (SOC 8 or SOC 7)

• Understanding and exploring gender identity in adolescents

• Building Sustainability in your professional life

• Making your workplace more welcoming to LGBTQ & TGD clients

Fees:

$300/hour for curated training

$200/hour for consultative discussions

Timing:

Trainings can be adjusted to your practice’s timeframe needs. Letter writing trainings are 2 hours minimum due to the amount of information needed to cover.

I believe strongly in both building pathways to licensure and supporting mental health professionals in their work. For provisionally licensed professionals that need to accrue supervised hours toward licensure, I am available to meet weekly.

Sometimes you may need to meet with someone for consultation to help talk through an issue. My approach in consultation is similar to individual therapy. Lets name the concern, talk through the parts to build an understanding, and then work together to name and select options for moving forward.

I see consultation as something all providers need from time to time and am happy to meet once or more often based on an individual’s or practice’s needs.
