Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a space to name and talk about the parts of our lives that feel challenging and get support in how to make changes. I see our work as building a relationship that feels safe enough to explore and examine the hard stuff and find a way to talk about the possibilities of change.
Typical topics that I see clients for in therapy include:
Anxiety
Depression
Identity exploration
Coming Out
LGBTQ+ identity questions
Trauma
Job dissatisfaction
Struggling with boundaries
Fertility & infertility
Queer family creation
Parenting
Family of origin work

Relationship Therapy
Having ongoing conflict that doesn’t seem to resolve? Feeling disconnected or that you and your partner(s) are just orbiting around each other? Struggling to reconnect after a problem in your relationship? Relationship therapy is designed to support you and your partner(s) in working through the parts of the relationship that are not working.
I see couples who are working toward more permanent commitments and want to work through areas first, couples who can’t stop their conflict cycle, and relationships that feel as if they are in jeopardy of ending.
I work to help everyone present identify their individual and relationship needs and goals, identify conflict cycles, and work to help folks state their needs and wants, whether that is to stay together or to ultimately separate.
I have experience working with both monogamous, non-monogamous, and polyamorous relationships.

Gender Affirming Surgery Letters
Because I believe that Trans people know what they need, I believe strongly in helping folks access gender affirming surgery. I will meet with you to discuss your surgical gender goals and will communicate with surgeons through consultation when needed and through writing surgical access letters that follow the required WPATH standards.
I have been completing assessments and writing letters for TGD folks throughout my career and worked to create a surgery letter writing program at an agency here in Chicago.

Support for Families in Transition
Sharing with your family that you are moving through the gender continuum OR learning that one of your family members is sharing with you that their gender has changed can be a period where a lot of feelings and conversations happen. Whether this transition time is a celebratory one or full of questions, I will meet with you and your family members as you work to talk through feelings and conversations,
I have worked with families who have a parent transitioning and also with families working to support their teens and tweens as they navigate their gender identity needs.
